Peter Munro was born in 1954 and grew up in the Highlands of Scotland. He moved South to London where he completed an Honours Degree at the Chelsea School of Art.

In 1985 he travelled to Canada and met the renowned wildlife artist, Robert Bateman, who gave him advice and great encouragement.

Peter became a full-time artist in 1987 and demand for this work in Britain and America greatly increased. In America his art has been profiled in several leading magazines.

He has exhibited in galleries in Ireland, Holland, America and Canada, as well as London. He still lives in Scotland where he gains much inspiration for his work.
