Norman Orr
Born in Edinburgh in 1924 Norman Orr was Scotland's leading artist of Scottish Wildlife and folklore. After serving in the Royal Marines during World War II he became a prominent crystal and glassware engraver, later turning more of his attention to drawing and painting. Norman Orr has been the subject of several television documentaries and was, in his later years, invited by a member of the Rockefeller family to visit the USA. Examples of Norman Orr's work have been presented to Her Majesty the Queen, as well as other members of European Royal families.
