John Haywood 1936 - 1991
English painter of birds of prey and falconer, born Coventry whose natural talents discovered when he was very young, for music and portrait painting were developed at Coventry College of Art, but his love of raptors was acquired later when in the 1950's, he trained falcons for films and television while working at Twycross Zoo. His paintings of birds of prey in action, with excellent landscapes over which they hunted, were highly valued by Arabs and many are now in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf States. He owned a large collection of the birds that he painted so well.
